After being amazingly bad at updating our flickr account—actually publishing nothing—we finally used 10 minutes to upload some snapshots from the exhibition we curated and exhibited at Graphic Passport Tokyo. Hopefully this will start an ongoing trend of publishing pictures;)

We are honored to be invited to curate, exhibit, speak as well as holding a workshop at Graphic Passport in Tokyo.

This year’s edition of the Tokyo Graphic Passport event will take place September 23-29 at 3331 Arts Chiyoda. The theme this year is “Think Touch Talk,” a topic that will be addressed over a series of programs, exhibitions, and workshops that will cover a multitude of creative media (photography, illustration, graphic design, motion graphics).

It will be amazing being back in Tokyo again. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Our Hunger exhibition continues to Bergen, Norway. It will take place at Tillsammans, at Kong Oscars gate 26. Vernissage starts on Saturday 19/6 at 15.00. See you there!

Hunger is a word that defines Bleed well. In their 10 years of existence, much has changed in the design world. The studio’s spirit, however, is a constant. They are restless, intuitive, and contemplative. They defiantly question convention and the very definition of graphic design. And although they are always thinking—more importantly, they are always doing. Their output is astonishing both in quantity and quality.

Organic and fluid, Bleed is perfectly suited for mutable times. Their culture and environment encourage a strong relationship with nature. This seems to somehow inform their dynamic range and give them an unparalleled flexibility. While many designers appear to feel weighed down by tradition, they never do. With eyes firmly set on the horizon, they continue to blur design, art, and technology to create a visual language that is distinctly Bleed.

Welcome to our book launch and exhibition at Studio Hugo Opdahl, Sunday 7th of mars at 13.00!

Bleed presents exhibition poster for the artist Bård Breivik at Studio Hugo Opdal in Flø.

Said about Bård: Every time one meets Bård he has “a totally new concept!” – and it’s even true! He has moved from silent material and crafts-based objects addressing archetypal forms to computer-assisted sculpture in steel and steel netting. He has worked in all possible materials from bamboo to birch roots, from lianas to copper and from zinc to varnish and wood coated with mother-of-pearl.

Bleed got recognition at the Taiwan International Graphic Design Award 2009 for the poster “Follow your inner moonlight, don´t hide the madness”, which we made for our own exhibition last november!

Rave reviews by critics for the Snøhetta exhibition. 2 of the largest newspapers in Norway have described the exhibition as, “Challenging”, “Including”, “Unconventional” and “Very good, top marks.” We are happy to be a part of this success, and congratulate Snøhetta and Nasjonalmuseet.

Bleed is proud to be a long-time design partner of Snøhetta, and as such help them to present themselves in various settings. As part of the Snøhetta Exhibition at The National Museum of Architecture, Bleed have been happy to assist in the making of an exhibition that gives a broad presentation of Snøhetta, the buildings, projects, working methods and visions.
