We are proud to announce that we are one of very few studios being awarded the title of European Design Leader. In company with Studio Dumbar, Pentagram, Meta Design and Stocholm Design Lab it is a great honor.
The European Design Leaders is an exclusive/élite club. Its purpose is to provide a valid and comprehensive index of the most creative studios and agencies of the continent. Defining who qualifies to become a member is based on a process as objective as possible.
How are the true European Design Leaders identified?
To define who is eligible for membership (ie who is a true leader in the communication design sector) we have constructed a careful methodology. Earlier this year, we interviewed a representative selection of design professionals and asked them to rate various international design award schemes. Based on their answers we were able to single out the top 5 communication design award programmes available. These are (in alphabetical order) D&AD, the Design Lions, the European Design Awards, iF communication design award and the Red Dot Awards: communication design. The next step was to scan all the results from these competitions for the last five years. And our task was done: All creative studios and agencies that have managed to win distinctions in three out of the last five years, are automatically entitled to apply for membership at the European Design Leaders club.
We believe that in this way we are providing a simple, straightforward, fair and objective criterion that recognises those studios and agencies that are consistently producing design of the highest level. Keeping in mind that every time we will be scanning and taking under consideration the last five years, it is clear that we are keeping the EDL list up to date and include those firms that are on the forefront of creativity at any given time.
European Design Leaders™ is rather self-explanatory. It is the one-of-a-kind professional club of Europe’s leading communication design studios and agencies. Membership is closed and by merit only. Our mission is to recognise, bring together, showcase and, above all, promote our continent’s most creative firms to the global market.

We are very proud to announce that we won Gold for Myspace in the category Corporate illustrations at the European Design Awards 2011. This has been a very good year for us so far, and we are humbled to receive so much appreciation for our work!
Bleed received no less than 9 honors at Visuelt 2011. We are very proud! In addition to the “regular” awards, one of our favorite clients The National Theater in Oslo, received the award for excellent use of design (Næringslivsprisen). We are happy to have such openminded creative clients to work with!
Bleed.no was awarded silver at Visuelt 2010 and bronze in the European Design Awards. We also got an nomination for the National Theater identity and our own redesign!
All in all a good year, with 5 different awards, but miles away from our record last year with 16 awards national and international. We are happy:)
Bleed got recognition at the Taiwan International Graphic Design Award 2009 for the poster “Follow your inner moonlight, don´t hide the madness”, which we made for our own exhibition last november!
According to Archdaily.com, Snøhetta was recently voted among the top 10 websites of architecture offices.

Bleed received 1 gold and 4 bronze prizes at the European design award 2009! Gold was awarded for our work with BeyondRisør in the category Brand Implementation and bronze was awarded for our Damien Hirst poster, Bleed exhibition, BeyondRisør poster and Snøhetta website.

Last friday Bleed won two golds, two silver and four diplomas at Visuelt, norways largest competition for graphic design. We’re all very proud! It´s rewarding to be appreciated for our wide range of work. Gold for the Snøhetta website and for our own exhibition “Follow Your Inner Moonlight, Don’t Hide the Madness”. Silver for the ALU catalogue and for the Minna Hannila website. Diplomas for The National Theatre newspaper , the Damien Hirst exhibition posters, Beyond Risør identity and for the Pepsi Max Fan Guide.
Here’s the jury comment on Snøhetta: “A masterpiece in craftsmanship, where the solution is intuitive, relevant and elegant. It’s all perfect. A clear winner!”
And the jury on Follow Your Inner Moonlight: “A brilliant example on a inspiring self-promotional project and an attitude that on it’s own is enough for gold – and the execution is strong. This project should be inspiring for the whole industry, and we urge everyone else to do something like it.”
